Best burger place in the Joplin/Webb City area. The prices are great, the servings are large, and the service is wonderful. It is a small little place but I simple love all the neon lights. It reminds me of an old soda/burger joint. If you are ever in the area and want a good burger this is the place to go! To add to that the burgers are always cooked to perfection. And they have like 8-10 different sides. They do kids meals also. Oh! They don't just have burgers either.

This place has a little known secret. Okay, it’s only a secret as in most people don’t know what they’re missing out on. Their peanut butter shake/or malt, is the best I have ever had!!! Consistently. As in, I’ve been ordering them I regularly for thirty years and they always taste the same! Also, I recommend the Chubby Cheese Basket, or the Spaghetti Red.

I love this place for years. It has my all time favorite burger, the Cubby Cheese. The onion rings are wonderful. And a big surprise was the tamales dinner. Tried it and it was just like my aunt's authentic Mexican. Yummy.

Babe's is the quintessential old time drive in. Starting with the flagship flat griddle burgers called the Chubby Cheese, which has been "the" burger of Joplin for at least 20 years, to the rest of their eclectic diner style menu I think it would be hard to find anything isn't good, however, if you must stray from the DELICIOUS burgers I suggest the nachos deluxe, spaghetti red, or the pork loin sandwich. Either way your sure to have your taste buds tantilized and leave satisfied and with a full belly. In my opinion Babe's IS the best burger in town!! P.S. Don't forget the bacon!!

Babes is a Joplin/Webb City area staple. The chubby cheese burger is everything it sounds like it is. Babes is also a great place for homemade shakes.
